The day I lost my engagement ring ruby
It was a lovely Monday morning as me and my wife was on holiday at her peaceful home town. We decide to go to Machang's Mothers and Child clinic that day to register my wife's pregnancy. As every usual Monday there is a Monday morning market or so called pasar sena (Isnin) in Kelantanese dialect where we decided to go after registering the pregnancy. Lots of stuff can be found in the morning market from foods to clothing. We take our chances to tried Mak Mah's (My wife's aunty) famous coconut shake and for an outsider like me RM1.00 per cup of it sounds totally WOW cheap. The mixed vanilla ice cream and coconut's juice tasted super yummy and super refreshing for me. I even tried to switch on an electric generator for Mak Mah when a customer comes to order for a new cup of coconut shake. It was a really exciting experience as it was my first successful attempt to turn on a diesel powered generator and i end up celebrating it in my own funky style without knowing it maybe the start of a sad day. It was when we are heading back to the car that Hisham a.k.a Ise saw that the ruby on my engagement ring that I always wore disappeared. I began the pursuit of looking for the tiny purple-ish coloured ruby and end up loosing faith on finding it. I was so depressed that once arrived at home I slept straightaway and even dream about it. My mother in law told her husband about it and he bought new ruby to replaced the lost one. For me it is not the price of the lost ruby that made me down..its the value of an engagement ring. For me I was lucky enough to have it pictured months before its gone. Go in peace little ruby the void have been replaced. Moral of the story..don't get too excited when you managed to switch on a diesel generator..=)
